Our Story
Golf Insider was founded in 2018, by Will Shaw while he was lecturing at university. The goal was to provide an evidence-based resource of golf content that he wished he’d had as a 13-year-old taking up the game of golf and wanting to become a golf professional.
Golf Insider has since grown to a team of golf professionals who contribute to the content creation process, writing and testing golf equipment, and creating tools and resources to help golfers shoot lower scores.
The Team
Founder & Editor – Will Shaw
Will is a PGA golf professional, with a PhD in Biomedical Science and MSc in Sports Biomechanics & Psychology.
He spent 10 years lecturing part-time at Leeds Beckett University and the University of Leeds in Biomechanics and Motor Control before becoming the Head of Golf for the University of Exeter.
He currently runs Golf Insider, Sport Science Insider & Break X Golf.

Staff Writer – Britt Olizarowicz
Britt Olizarowicz is a former teaching and Class A PGA professional with more than 25 years spent with a golf club in her hand. Britt is a small business owner, author, and freelance golf expert who knows this game inside and out.
She lives in Savannah, GA, with her husband and two young children.

Alastair Hall is a PGA golf professional who specialises in coaching and club fitting. He has spent the past 7 years coaching and club fitting at Halesworth GC in Suffolk.

Videographer – Lucas Hattersley
Lucas is a content creator with an editorial background in Television and Film and also has 15 years of experience as a media manager and videographer.
He has been playing golf since a young age, having grown up representing Bedfordshire county Juniors and training with the England U-18s.
